I received an e-mail which contained a message from Michael Jackson.

Without God, my children, my family and you, my fans, I could not have made it through. Your love, support and loyalty made it all possible.

You were there when I really needed you. I will never forget you. Your ever-present love held me, dried my tears, and carried me through.

I will treasure your devotion and support forever. You are my inspiration.

Love,

Michael Jackson

Mariah Carey’s Career In Reviews

Published by GG under Entertainment

I have reviewed every Mariah Carey solo album except her greatest hits type stuff, her remix album, and her Christmas album. You can click on the pictures below to read the reviews.

In 1990 when 20 year old Mariah Carey jumped on the scene with vocals that melted you like butter and a hit song that simply was the best thing on the radio…

While Mariah didn’t one up her very good first album, she did nothing to diminish herself with this second album. Slightly more mature, though you wouldn’t know it based on the title single, and a showcase for her voice, the only problems occur with her being in her early 20’s and sounding like a 40 year old blues singer on many of the tracks.

It does show that Mariah was not just some studio prodigy. When it came down to it, she could sing live, and sing well.

She gave us the signature ballads, the inspirational feel good tracks, and the few danceable songs. While she’s almost as good here as she was with her first two albums, there was a problem with staleness.

Daydream itself in my opinion will go down as the most complete album of her career and one of the best mixes of what a pop album should be. It is definitely an album that can be looked back on as a successful merger, even if it was really only a couple songs, for hip hop and hip hop producers, and pop music.

It’s really a cornucopia of sound that tries to please a few different audiences, but maybe doesn’t satisfy one.

She says that if the world were perfect, people would co-exist in harmony, like the colors do on a rainbow. And then she says that this album is a biography of the emotional year that she had that ended with a happy ending. After listening to this again, it must’ve been one sad year if there’s a happy ending involved.

This is Carey’s most chaotic work. It’s directionless. It’s trademark Mariah ballads, and then it’s Ja Rule singing horrendously. It’s daring covers that are diluted with cheesy rap production gaffes. It’s as overworked as she was at the time.

Mariah was at rock bottom. But Charmbracelet gave her a chance to make a comeback. And while it wasn’t a total 180, it put her back in the spotlight again, and it wasn’t for anything negative.

The Emancipation Of Mimi is mostly a modern R&B record, and a good one at that. You don’t hear any usual Mimi adult contemporary wailing ballads, and the ballads in general are kept to a minimum. What you mostly hear are mid tempo joints that utilize Mimi’s voice and style perfectly to create a ton of summer records.

Bonar Bain Gets Married

Published by GG under Other

Sun Jun 19, 3:45 PM ET

Plano, Tex. – Bonar Bain, the twin brother of Conrad Bain, better known as Phillip Drummond from Diff’rent Strokes fame, was married in a small and quaint wedding this past Sunday. Unbeknownst to anyone but the Bain family, the younger of the twins doesn’t look anything like his older brother, the very dignified Conrad.

Bonar married a woman that he met on the set of a Diff’rent Strokes spin-off that never got off the ground. In the spin-off which was supposed to be titled Rich White Dude Adopts Black Kids, Bonar played Phillip’s younger brother who takes care of an older Arnold and Willis who can’t seem to get jobs nor leave their Park Place mansion. But Gary Coleman couldn’t come to terms with his pay and Todd Bridges couldn’t stay out of jail, so Bonar was out of luck. Or at least we thought so. Bonar met one Summer Rain who was a production assistant on the show that never got off the ground and fell in love. However, it didn’t start out that way.

Bonar With Two Of His Groomsmen, Stiffy and Richard

Bonar didn’t hit it off with Summer right off the bat. She thought his narcissitic attitude was appalling and told him so. One day, Bonar wanted to change her opinion about him and he decided to ask her out on a date. He showed up at her doorstep with a rose in his mouth, which he forgot to de-thorn, thus cutting his lips in the process. When Summer answered the door, she couldn’t do anything but laugh as he tried to smile with bloodied lips. It was at that moment, she fell for one Bonar Bain.

Though Bain was heartbroken when Todd Bridges couldn’t get out of jail, and Emmanuel Lewis wouldn’t agree to replace Gary Coleman as Arnold, he tried to come up with new ideas including spray on foam underwear, which never even left the idea stage because his arms were too short to get around his backside. It was Summer who helped Bonar get back on his feet, and it was Summer who bought him his first X-Box. It was over a game of Halo where Bonar first asked Summer to be his wife. Bonar knew she was the one when Summer bought him a DVD entitled Red vs. Blue which consisted of geeky animators using the Halo game engine to create a movie with lame wannabe Kevin Smith dialogue.

Stoic Bonar

Bonar has 23 children from 3 other marriages while this is the first for the newly named Summer Bain. Bain is now the a spokesman for the new Viagra-like drug, named after himself. He also wrote the tag line for the drug, “Bonar – All Day, All Night”. They will live in Plano, with 13 of his 23 children.
