It’s Kind Of Hard To Grow Up When You’re Learning 3 Different Offenses Every Year

Those are the words of the great Emmitt Smith on the post game show of Monday Night Football.
I was looking for a couple videos on YouTube with Emmitt doing post game analysis. I believe the first one was when Dallas came back to beat Buffalo early in the season and Emmitt said something like, “In the words of Jim Valvano, don’t quit, don’t ever quit.”
The second was something like, “A tiger never loses his spots.” A tiger Emmitt, really?
Anyway, the only thing I could find is this. In summary, Emmitt Smith is a great man.

Maybe, had Alex stayed in school and graduated he might have learned how to study. Like taking math, science , social studies, stc. which are three different subjects that he probably never lerned either. I guess what I’m saying is he never learned how to leartn. Besides who cares about Alex?

Emmitt cares about him. He was trying to give him an out as to why he was sucking. What he was supposed to say is that it’s hard to grow up when you are learning 3 different offenses in 3 different years.
But instead, because he loves Alex so, he said he’s learning 3 different offenses every year. By Emmitt’s calculations, Alex has learned 9 different offenses already. No wonder he can’t grow.

Emmitt could be the most entertaining man on television. He needs his own show.
