And the winner is …
Speedo Boy!

Young Speedo Boy won the championship in his first year playing in the league, which has happened a couple times in the past. He beat No Askident! by over 30 points to close out what was a fine season.
Crank Dat LT beat Team Lopez to win third place in a low scoring affair.
Here is the draft order for next year.
1. Kenny Durham
2. Mike Nakamoto
3. Randy Bartholomew
4. Edson Lansang
5. Billy Parker
6. Darrell Gutierrez
7. Mike Lopez
8. Derek Durham
9. GG
10. Kevin Durham
11. Tony Gonzales
12. Michael Miles
See you next year.
Week 16
This is it. It’s time to see who is going to win it all. Is it going to be the newcomer, Speedo Boy, or the old race horse, No Askident!
I asked Edson what my dad’s best finish has been in the history of our fantasy football league and he seems to think the third place game. If so, this is his shot to finally become the champ.
For Speedo Boy, he’ll be the first guy to come in here and win it all in his first year.
No Askident! was 8-5 in the regular season yet was only the third highest scoring team in his division and eighth highest in a league of twelve teams. His team was carried by Drew Brees and Frank Gore. Reggie Bush is out for the rest of the season and Le’Ron McClain is questionable to play. That leaves an injured Gore, Julius Jones, and Jerious Norwood. The receiving crew is solid with Calvin Johnson and Santana Moss.
Speedo Boy was the second highest scoring team in the league behind Crank Dat LT. The running back duo of Michael Turner and DeAngelo Williams has been tremendous. Phillip Rivers has been solid this season and the receiving corps of Wes Welker, Tony Gonzalez, and Steve Smith might be the most consistent in our league.
It’s going to be tough for No Askident! to win this game because of all his injuries. Speedo Boy looks to be in the driver’s seat. But Fantasy Football is an odd game and the ball doesn’t always bounce like you think it is supposed to.
In the third place game Team Lopez, another newbie, faces Crank Dat LT. The winner of this game either gets his entry fee back, or a free ride into next season, so make sure you set your rosters.
I’ll be back Sunday and Monday night with updates.
Week 15
I came, I saw, I conquered
Those were the words of Julius Caesar, but I could imagine that Mike Miles and Mike Lopez are saying the same thing. In probably the biggest story of the year, both of our new teams are in the division finals in the race for the championship.
Speedo Boy played the lowest seed in the playoffs, Hoth Funk ‘Em All and destroyed him. The final tally was 86.5 to 45.5. Team Lopez upset Tony Romo’s Chastity Belt. Going into Monday night, I only needed 9 points from my kicker, Matt Bryant to come from behind and win the game, and he only scored 5. Didn’t help that he missed an extra point. If I were Terrell Owens, I’d blame Jeff Garcia. That rat.
In the two other playoff games, No Askident and Crank Dat LT were victorious and the final four is set.
Funk Division
No Askident! vs. Team Lopez
Moto Division
Crank Dat LT vs. Speedo Boy
The favorites at this moment are whoever comes out of the Moto Division, but you never know.
You can vote on who you think is the best team of the four in our poll on the site.

Week 14
Playoffs?
Here’s what I wrote on Tuesday about the playoffs and why the teams that made it, did.
ESPN’s rankings are a bit wacky and we’ve always used a head to head tie breaker as the determining factor as far as who goes to the playoffs.
Dr. D Lover beat both Team Parker and Team Lopez so he wins the tie breaker and is in the playoffs.
Team Lopez and Team Parker split their games and the next tie breaker is divisional record and they were both at 2-5. The next one is total points scored, which Team Lopez won. So he goes to the playoffs.
As you’ll see, there’s a consolation bracket, which we’ve never done before. For the teams out of the playoffs, you can continue to play, but it’s not necessary. I will probably not count the consolation bracket in next year’s draft order, but if you want to keep playing, it might be fun.
All that I ask is that you don’t cut any of your players for the sake of screwing up the balance of the league. For instance, if you’re out of the playoffs, don’t cut your best player just because. He will become available and the balance of the playoffs could be shifted because of it.
Here are the match-ups for this week.
Funk Division
Tony Romo’s Chastity Belt vs. Team Lopez
No Askident vs. Dr. D Lover
Moto Division
Speedo Boy vs. Hoth Funk ‘Em All
Crank Dat LT vs. Action Jackson’s Army Of 8
There are a few things that interest me. In my opinion, the game between Kevin and Derek eliminates one of the best teams in the league since someone has to lose. What’s also pretty interesting is that our two new teams this year both made the playoffs. Also, Edson stated on Facebook that he already beat the uncle and now it’s time to beat the nephew.
Best of luck to everyone.
Week 13
Here are the standings as we roll into the last week of the regular season.
FUNK
1 Tony Romo’s… 8-4 W2
2 No Askident! 7-5 W1
3 Dr. D. Lover 6-6 W3
4 Team Parker 6-6 L1
5 Team Lopez 5-7 L1
6 The Dark Bull 3-9 L4
MOTO
1 Speedo Boy 9-3 W4
2 Crank Dat LT 9-3 W1
3 Action Jacks… 8-4 W2
4 Unfortunatel… 4-8 L5
5 Hoth Funk Em… 4-8 L3
6 ENTER THE FUNK 3-9 L2
The only teams we have to say goodbye to are ENTER THE FUNK and The Dark Bull.
Here are the teams who have secured a playoff spot.
Tony Romo’s Chastity Belt
No Askident!
Dr. D Lover
Speedo Boy
Crank Dat LT
Action Jackson’s Army Of 8
Here are the teams who are fighting for the last two playoff spots.
Team Parker
Team Lopez
Unfortunately Speedo’s Uncle
Hoth Funk Em All
Now let’s look into the playoff situation.
In the Funk Division, Team Parker, and Team Lopez are fighting for the last two spots. Here’s the breakdown.
Team Parker beat Team Lopez earlier in the year. Team Lopez has to beat Team Parker and I think, in order to win the tie breaker, he has to win big because the tie breaker if they have the same record and the same head to head record, is total points scored.
In the Moto division, it’s easy. It’s winner take all. It’s Unfortunately Speedo’s Uncle vs. Hoth Funk Em All for the last spot. Speedo’s Uncle has lost 5 games in a row, while Hoth has lost 3 games in a row. Someone’s losing streak is about to be broken.
It’s a great weekend of football.
Reminder
There are three games tomorrow so get your lineups ready.
Week 12
I’m not sure how long it’s been since my team has been in first place. 10 years? With only two games left in the regular season, my team (Tony Romo’s Chastity Belt) has a one game lead over my dad (No Askident!), and the defending champ’s team (Team Parker). And yes, I’m secured a playoff spot. While I’m only 2 games ahead of Team Lopez and Dr. D Lover with 2 games to play, I’ve beat them both so if we were tied at the end of the regular season, I win the head to head tie breaker.
Here are the standings for as we roll into Week 12, which starts tonight with a game between Pittsburgh and Cincinnati.
Funk Division
1 Tony Romo’s… 7-4 W1
2 No Askident! 6-5 L2
3 Team Parker 6-5 W2
4 Dr. D. Lover 5-6 W2
5 Team Lopez 5-6 W4
6 The Dark Bull 3-8 L3
Moto Division
1 Speedo Boy 8-3 W3
2 Crank Dat LT 8-3 L1
3 Action Jacks… 7-4 W1
4 Unfortunatel… 4-7 L4
5 Hoth Funk Em… 4-7 L2
6 ENTER THE FUNK 3-8 L1
Speedo Boy and Team Lopez are the new teams this year, and I have to say, I’m impressed that they both have had the type of seasons that they are having. Speedo Boy has clinched a playoff spot and is vying for the number 1 seed in the Moto Division. And Team Lopez is right in the thick of things in the Funk Division.
It has been an interesting year as we moved over to ESPN’s Fantasy Football software after being on Statsworld for so long. I like it because it I have less work to do and also, it gives us everything we need and I don’t have to pay $70 for the service. Thanks ESPN. Also, in previous years, I was so involved in the organization of the league and the way waivers worked and stuff, I probably spent less time on my actual team than necessary and it showed big time. I haven’t had a solid season in years and now, I’m having a good year. My draft was pretty stellar but I’ve also been on top of the waivers and have made some choice pick ups.
Here are the top three match ups of the week.
Tony Romo’s Chastity Belt vs. Team Parker
This is a big game when it comes to seeding as well as credibility. Team Parker are the defending champs. My team is trying to win it for the first time in many, many years.
Team Lopez vs. No Askident!
Another divisional game that has playoff implications. Team Lopez is only one game behind No Askident! for the second playoff spot in the Funk Division. A win here would help solidify his spot for playoff glory.
Speedo Boy vs. Unfortunately Speedo’s Uncle
Unfortunately for Unfortunately, Randy’s young nephew has a better record than him. However, the reason this game is important is because it could be a sneak preview of the first round of the playoffs if things stayed as they are today. Can you imagine Randy’s nephew beating him in the playoffs in his first year in the league? I can’t imagine the Miles/Bartholomew household being a happy place for a few weeks. But then again, Randy would just take it out on him in Madden.
Check out the latest waiver wire - http://games.espn.go.com/ffl/waiverreport?leagueId=265831.
Also, vote on our latest poll. Out of the teams with the four worst records, which one has the best chance at a playoff spot? It’s on the front page.
See you next week.
I will be with my uncle sunday, so it should be a showdown.
Are you guys going to have a stare down?
Is it me versus Rando for the last playoff spot?
You know it.
Zucko is going to get destroyed.
